The self-adhesive smart film can be pasted on existing glass surfaces transforming normal glass to switchable smart glass. This film comprises liquid crystal and polymers between two sheets of conductive film.

Once the adhesive film is pasted on existing glass surfaces – when there is no power supply, the smart glass will be in privacy mode. When current is passed through the smart glass, the liquid polymer crystals align making way for light passage making the glass transparent.
